The Holosun HS407K X2 Red Dot Sight (HS407K-X2) is a 1x open-reflex pistol red dot sight with a single 6 MOA red dot on the Holosun K (RMSc) footprint, powered by a side-loading CR1632 cell rated at up to 50,000 hours.
The 6 MOA dot is the coarse, fast option in the K-series: a large aiming point that the eye finds immediately at close range, which is why it suits slimline pistols that are shot quickly rather than deliberately. The X2 generation adds Lock Mode against accidental setting changes and Shake Awake, which sleeps the reticle when the pistol is still and wakes it the moment it moves. The aluminium housing is rated IP67.

Is the Holosun HS407K X2 an RMR or an RMSc footprint optic?
The Holosun HS407K X2 Red Dot Sight uses the Holosun K footprint, which is the RMSc pattern. It fits slides cut for an RMSc optic and adapter plates machined to the RMSc pattern. It will not fit an RMR cut without a dedicated adapter plate.
Will the Holosun HS407K X2 fit a SIG P365 or a Glock 43X?
Both of those pistols use the RMSc optic cut, which is the same pattern as the Holosun K footprint on the HS407K X2, so the sight matches that cut directly. Always check your specific slide variant is the optics-ready RMSc version before ordering.
Why choose the 6 MOA dot over the 2 MOA dot?
The 6 MOA dot on the Holosun HS407K X2 covers more of the target and is quicker for the eye to find at close range, which suits fast shooting on a small pistol. A 2 MOA dot, as fitted to the HE407K X2, obscures less of the target and is the better choice for deliberate shots at distance.
Does the Holosun HS407K X2 have Shake Awake and solar power?
The Holosun HS407K X2 has Shake Awake, which puts the reticle to sleep when the pistol has been still and wakes it instantly on movement. It does not have Solar Failsafe — the K-series runs from the CR1632 cell alone, and Shake Awake is what supports the 50,000-hour runtime rating.
