The Holosun SCS MOS Green Dot Sight (SCS-M-GR) is a 1x enclosed pistol green dot sight that direct-mounts to Glock MOS optics-ready slides with no adapter plate, powered by an internal rechargeable cell charged by ambient light. It carries the Multi-Reticle System — a 2 MOA green dot, a 32 MOA circle, or both together as a circle-dot. UPC 810047071679.
SCS stands for Solar Charging Sight, and it is the whole point of the optic: there is no battery tray, no cell to order and no interval to remember, because the internal cell is topped up by light with an internal backup behind it. Brightness is fully automatic, so there are no buttons to press either. The emitter sits behind a sealed window, which keeps out the lint, dust and rain that can obscure an open-emitter dot.

Does the Holosun SCS MOS ever need a battery change?
No. The Holosun SCS MOS Green Dot Sight uses an internal rechargeable cell charged by ambient light, with internal backup. There is no removable battery and no battery tray, so there is nothing to replace over the life of the optic.
What pistols does the Holosun SCS MOS fit?
The Holosun SCS MOS direct-mounts to Glock MOS optics-ready slides with no adapter plate required. It is cut specifically for that slide pattern, so it is not an RMR- or RMSc-footprint optic and will not fit other slides.
Can I set the brightness on the Holosun SCS MOS?
No. Brightness on the Holosun SCS MOS is fully automatic, with no manual settings. The optic reads the ambient light and lights the reticle to suit, which is why there are no buttons on the housing.

Why choose an enclosed emitter over an open one?
The sealed window on the Holosun SCS MOS keeps rain, dust and pocket lint away from the emitter. On an open-emitter optic those can settle in front of the LED and dim or block the dot, which is the main practical argument for an enclosed sight in British weather.
