The Holosun SCS Carry Green Dot Sight (SCS-CARRY-GR) is a 1x enclosed pistol green dot sight on the RMSc (Shield) footprint, powered by an internal rechargeable cell charged by ambient light, with the Multi-Reticle System — a 2 MOA green dot, a 32 MOA circle, or both together as a circle-dot.
It is the version of Holosun's Solar Charging Sight for slimline pistols. Unlike the slide-specific SCS models, this one uses the standard RMSc footprint, so it fits the wide range of RMSc-cut carry slides rather than a single pistol. There is no battery tray to open, brightness is fully automatic, and the sealed window keeps lint and rain away from the emitter — which is the practical argument for an enclosed optic on a pistol that lives in a holster or a bag.

Is the Holosun SCS Carry an RMR or an RMSc footprint optic?
The Holosun SCS Carry Green Dot Sight uses the RMSc (Shield) footprint, so it fits RMSc-cut slimline slides and RMSc-pattern adapter plates. It is not an RMR-footprint optic.
Will the Holosun SCS Carry fit a SIG P365 or a Glock 43X?
Both of those pistols use the RMSc optic cut, which is the footprint the Holosun SCS Carry is machined for, so the sight matches that cut directly. Check your slide is the optics-ready RMSc variant before ordering.

No. The Holosun SCS Carry uses an internal rechargeable cell charged by ambient light, so there is no removable battery and no tray to open.

The Holosun SCS Carry is solar-charged with an internal cell and fully automatic brightness. The EPS Carry is the same style of enclosed RMSc optic but uses a replaceable battery with Solar Failsafe and manual brightness settings, so it can be set to a chosen level.
Can I set the brightness on the Holosun SCS Carry?
No. Brightness on the Holosun SCS Carry is fully automatic with no manual settings, which is why there are no buttons on the housing.
Why choose an enclosed emitter for a carry pistol?
