The Trijicon RMR Type 2 Red Dot Sight (SKU RM09-C-700744) is a 1× open-emitter miniature red dot sight with a 1.0 MOA adjustable-LED red dot, the industry-standard RMR footprint and a forged aluminium housing in Olive Drab Green.
Trijicon built the RMR — Ruggedized Miniature Reflex — for military and law enforcement service, and that duty-grade heritage is what the Type 2 electronics inherit: the circuit is engineered to hold the dot steady under the recoil of a reciprocating slide, and the forged aluminium body is the reason the RMR pattern became the footprint the rest of the industry copies.

Is the Trijicon SRO the same footprint as the RMR Type 2?
Yes — the Trijicon SRO uses the same Trijicon RMR mounting footprint as the RMR Type 2, so an SRO red dot sight fits any slide cut or adapter plate machined for an RMR. The SRO differs in its taller round window, not in how it mounts.
Which mount do I need to fit a Trijicon RMR Type 2 to a rifle?
