The Burris Handgun Scope 3-12x32mm Ballistic Plex Matte Black (200309) is a long-eye-relief handgun scope with 3-12x magnification, a 32mm objective and a 1-inch main tube. Long eye relief is what defines the category: at 10–19 in (254–483 mm) at low power, 10–12.5 in (254–318 mm) at high of eye relief, you get a full sight picture with the gun held well forward of your face and clear of the recoil stroke.
The Ballistic Plex reticle is Burris's trajectory-compensating reticle, with holdover points giving trajectory compensation out to 500 yards. Waterproof and nitrogen-filled to prevent internal fogging, with a double internal spring-tension system that holds zero through shock, recoil and vibration.

Ideal for
- Long-barrelled revolvers and pistols, where the sight picture has to work with the gun held well forward of the face
- Scout-style forward mounting on a rifle, where a conventional scope has no usable eye relief at that distance
- Heavy-recoiling guns where the optic must sit well clear of the shooter
- Shooters who need holdover references rather than dialling
- Anyone comparing the range against our other handgun scopes

Why does the Burris 3-12x32mm handgun scope need such long eye relief?
Because the gun is held out in front of you rather than against the shoulder. The Burris 200309 gives 10–19 in (254–483 mm) at low power, 10–12.5 in (254–318 mm) at high of eye relief, so you get a full sight picture from a normal shooting position and stay clear of the recoil stroke.
What is the difference between the Plex and Ballistic Plex reticles?
Plex is a clean crosshair with bolded outer edges and no holdover points. Ballistic Plex adds trajectory-compensating holdover points out to 500 yards, matched to your calibre and bullet weight. The Burris 200309 has the Ballistic Plex reticle.
Is the parallax adjustable on the Burris 200309?
Yes — the Burris 200309 is the only scope in the Burris handgun line with adjustable parallax, from 25 yards to infinity. The others are set at a fixed 100 yards.
What rings does the Burris 200309 need?
It has a 1-inch (25.4 mm) main tube, so it needs a pair of 1-inch rings or a 1-inch mount matched to your gun's base.
Is the Burris 200309 waterproof?
Yes. It is waterproof and nitrogen-filled to stop internal fogging, with a double internal spring-tension system that holds zero through shock, recoil and vibration.
Can I buy this Burris handgun scope in the UK?
Yes — it is an optic rather than a firearm, and we dispatch it tracked from the UK. What you may lawfully fit it to depends on your firearm certificate and the law where you shoot, so please check your own certificate conditions; we cannot advise on licensing.
Every order is shipped from the UK with tracked delivery, with an estimated delivery time of 7–10 working days. Unused items in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days for a full refund.
