Holosun P.ID Weapon Light 1000 Lumens 23,000 Candela

The Holosun P.ID Weapon Light (P.ID) is a rail-mounted pistol weapon light producing 1000 lumens output and 23,000 candela peak beam intensity on high, with a 500 lumens low mode, from a rechargeable 18350 cell. It fits MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rails and throws roughly 250 m.

The beam is the deliberate part: 23,000 candela behind 1000 lumens gives a hotspot with genuine reach alongside enough spill to see what is either side of it, which is the balance you want when the job is identifying what you are looking at rather than lighting a wall. Charging is by magnetic USB connector directly on the light, so the 18350 never has to come out. The body is 7075-T6 aluminium, rated IP68, 3.2 in (81 mm) long and around 5 oz (142 g), with ambidextrous rear switches.

How it compares

For a tighter, longer-reaching beam, the P.ID HC weapon light trades output for 42,000 candela. For a smaller light on a compact frame, the P.ID-K compact weapon light gives 500 lumens. To add an aiming laser, the P.ID Plus with a green laser and the P.ID Dual with green and IR lasers build on the same body. On a rifle, the RAID high-throw weapon light is the 80,000 candela option. Ideal for

  • Section 1 long-barrelled pistols and revolvers with a Picatinny accessory rail
  • Pistol-calibre carbines and rimfire trainers needing a compact rail light
  • Airsoft GBB pistol builds and night skirmish games
  • Low-light target identification where beam reach matters as much as brightness

How bright is the Holosun P.ID Weapon Light?

The Holosun P.ID Weapon Light produces 1000 lumens output on high and 500 lumens output on low. Peak beam intensity on high is 23,000 candela, which Holosun rates at approximately 250 m of beam distance.

What does 23,000 candela mean on the Holosun P.ID?

Candela measures the intensity of the beam's hotspot, which is what determines how far the light reaches rather than how much total light it puts out. At 23,000 candela the Holosun P.ID has a balanced profile with usable throw and enough spill to see either side of the hotspot.

What rail does the Holosun P.ID fit?

The Holosun P.ID mounts to standard MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny accessory rails, as fitted to full-size and many compact handguns. It will not attach to a pistol with no accessory rail.

How is the Holosun P.ID charged?

The Holosun P.ID uses a rechargeable 18350 cell charged through a magnetic USB connector on the light itself, so the battery does not have to be removed to charge it.

Is the Holosun P.ID waterproof?

Yes. The Holosun P.ID is rated IP68 in a 7075-T6 aluminium body, which covers dust ingress and immersion in water.

What is the difference between the Holosun P.ID and the P.ID-K?

The Holosun P.ID is the full-size light at 1000 lumens output and 23,000 candela. The P.ID-K is the compact version at 500 lumens output and 6,500 candela, intended for smaller frames where overall size matters more than reach.
