The Holosun HE507 ProMax Green Dot Sight (HE507-PROMAX-GR-PRS) is a 1x open-reflex competition pistol green dot sight on the Trijicon RMR footprint, with the Performance Reticle System — a 2 MOA green dot, or 8, 20 and 32 MOA circles — behind an enlarged performance window with a forward-leaning integrated sunshade.
Green is the colour the human eye reads most brightly at a given output, which is why competition shooters reach for it in daylight, and the ProMax pairs that with the largest window and the most glare control in Holosun's pistol line. Solar Failsafe supplements the side-loading CR1632 for a runtime rating of 100,000 hours, with Shake Awake and Lockout Mode, and twelve brightness settings split 8 daylight and 4 night-vision compatible.
How it compares
The same optic is available in HS507 ProMax red and HS507 ProMax gold. The simpler competition optic is the HE507COMP green dot sight, without the sunshade or Solar Failsafe. For a single fixed aiming point, the HE407COMP green dot sight with the 6 MOA dot is the cleanest sight picture, and the HE507C X3 green dot sight is the standard-size everyday alternative. Browse the full Holosun green dot sight range and all RMR footprint red dot sights.
Ideal for
- UK practical competition on Section 1 long-barrelled pistols and revolvers
- Summer ranges and bright open ground where glare across the glass costs time
- Shooters who hold a green reticle better than red in daylight
- Mini-rifle, gallery rifle and pistol-calibre carbine stages shot against the clock

What is the Performance Reticle System on the Holosun HE507 ProMax?
The Performance Reticle System on the Holosun HE507 ProMax Green Dot Sight lets the shooter select a precise 2 MOA green dot, or open the reticle up to an 8, 20 or 32 MOA circle, so the aiming reference can be matched to the stage being shot.
What is the difference between the HE507 ProMax and the HE507COMP?
The Holosun HE507 ProMax adds Solar Failsafe supplemental power, an enlarged window with a forward-leaning integrated sunshade, and a runtime rating of up to 100,000 hours. The HE507COMP is the simpler competition optic, without solar, rated to 50,000 hours.
Why choose a green reticle for competition?
The eye is more sensitive to green than to red at the same output, so the reticle on the Holosun HE507 ProMax generally looks brighter and crisper against bright outdoor backgrounds. Combined with the sunshade, that is what keeps the dot holdable on a sunlit range.
Is the Holosun HE507 ProMax an RMR or an RMSc footprint optic?
The Holosun HE507 ProMax uses the Trijicon RMR footprint, so it fits RMR-cut full-size pistol slides and optics-ready pistols supplied with an RMR-pattern adapter plate.
What battery does the Holosun HE507 ProMax use and how long does it last?
The Holosun HE507 ProMax uses one CR1632 cell in a side-loading tray, replaceable with the optic still mounted and zeroed. With Solar Failsafe and Shake Awake, Holosun rates the runtime at up to 100,000 hours.
Is the Holosun HE507 ProMax night-vision compatible?
Yes. Four of the twelve brightness settings on the Holosun HE507 ProMax are night-vision compatible, with the other eight intended for daylight use.
