Primary Arms SLx 1X MicroPrismT Scope RDB Illuminated T-Dot Reticle H1/T1 Footprint

The Primary Arms SLx 1X MicroPrismT Scope with the T-Dot reticle (part number 710081, SKU PA-SLX-1XMP-H-RDB-TD) is a 1x unmagnified prism scope with a 17 mm objective and a glass-etched T-Dot reticle under Red Dot Bright illumination, built on the H1/T1 micro-dot footprint and supplied with a 2.26 in mount. It is 2.48 in (63 mm) long, weighs 5.5 oz (156 g), adjusts in 1 MOA clicks with 120 MOA of windage and elevation travel, gives a 76.5 ft field of view at 100 yards (25.5 m at 100 m), and is sealed to IP67 and nitrogen-purged.

This is the simplest reticle in the MicroPrism line and for a lot of shooters that is exactly the appeal. Where the ACSS reticles pack in ranging, holdovers and leads, the T-Dot gives you a clean, uncluttered aiming point with a post below it — nothing to read, nothing to interpret, just a fast reference at speed. And because it is a prism scope, the reticle is etched into the glass rather than projected, so it looks sharp to eyes that see LED red dots as a smear, and it still works with the illumination off.

How it compares

This is the simple-reticle version. For ranging and holdover references, the same optic is offered with the red ACSS Cyclops Gen II reticle or the green ACSS Cyclops Gen II reticle, and for 9mm pistol-calibre carbines with the ACSS Gemini 9mm reticle. For a larger window and near-unlimited eye relief, step up to the GLx 1X MicroPrism with the ACSS Cyclops reticle. For magnification, see the SLx 3X MicroPrism with the ACSS Raptor 5.56/.308 Yard reticle. Browse the Primary Arms prism scope range and all prism scopes, and read our guides to how prism scopes work and astigmatism and red dot sights.

Ideal for

  • Shooters with astigmatism who want a simple, uncluttered aiming point that stays sharp
  • Practical shotgun and 3-Gun, where reading a reticle costs time
  • Airsoft and training use on the widely available H1 and T1 pattern mounts
  • Rimfire and gallery rifle at close and medium range

Does a prism scope help with astigmatism?

Yes, for many shooters it does. A prism scope's reticle is etched into the glass and viewed through the optic's own focusing system, so it is resolved by the same corrected optical path as the target, whereas a red dot projects an LED that an astigmatic eye commonly sees as a smear, flare or double image.

What is the T-Dot reticle?

The T-Dot is a deliberately simple etched reticle giving a clean central aiming point with a post beneath it, chosen by shooters who want speed rather than the ranging stadia and holdover marks of the ACSS reticles.

What mount does the SLx 1X MicroPrismT need?

The SLx 1X MicroPrismT uses the H1/T1 micro-dot footprint, so it fits the wide range of mounts made for micro red dot sights, and a 2.26 in mount is supplied in the box.

Does this optic work if the battery dies?

Yes. The T-Dot reticle is etched into the glass rather than projected, so it remains fully visible and usable with the illumination switched off or the battery flat.

What does Red Dot Bright illumination mean?

Red Dot Bright is Primary Arms' term for illumination driven hard enough that the etched reticle can be used in full daylight in the same way as a red dot sight, rather than only being visible in dull light.

Is the SLx 1X MicroPrismT waterproof?

The Primary Arms SLx 1X MicroPrismT is sealed to IP67 and nitrogen-purged, which protects it against dust ingress, temporary immersion in water and internal fogging.
