The Burris Fullfield E1 3-9x40 Rifle Scope Ballistic Plex Muzzleloader (200347) is a second-focal-plane rifle scope with 3-9x magnification, a 40 mm objective and a 1 in (25.4 mm) main tube. This is the Muzzleloader version: Burris calibrates the Ballistic Plex holdover points to muzzleloader trajectories, and the parallax is set at a fixed 50 yards to suit the ranges those loads are shot at.
The Ballistic Plex reticle gives trajectory-compensating holdover points below the crosshair, so you can hold for distance rather than dial. Waterproof and nitrogen-filled to prevent internal fogging, with a double internal spring-tension system that holds zero through shock, recoil and vibration.
How it compares
The same scope with the holdover points calibrated differently is the Burris Fullfield E1 3-9x40 rifle scope, Shotgun calibration. Browse the full Burris rifle scope range, our deer stalking scopes, or our rimfire and .22 LR optics — the fixed 50-yard parallax suits rimfire distances as well as muzzleloader loads.
Ideal for
- Short-to-medium range shooting with a steep-trajectory load, where holdover references beat dialling
- Rimfire and .22 LR work at around 50 yards, which is where this scope's fixed parallax is set
- Woodland deer stalking and high-seat shooting, where 3-9x covers the realistic distances
- Anyone who wants a simple, battery-free scope with nothing to switch on
- Browsing our deer stalking scopes or rimfire and .22 LR optics

What is the difference between the Shotgun and Muzzleloader versions of the Burris Fullfield E1 3-9x40?
Optically nothing — both are 3-9x40 with a Ballistic Plex reticle, a 1 in tube and fixed 50-yard parallax. The difference is the holdover calibration: on 200347 Burris matches the reticle's holdover points to muzzleloader trajectories.
Is the reticle on the Burris Fullfield E1 200347 illuminated?
No. The Ballistic Plex reticle on the Burris Fullfield E1 200347 is not illuminated and takes no battery.
What is the parallax set to on the Burris Fullfield E1 200347?
It is fixed at 50 yards, which suits the ranges muzzleloader loads are typically shot at — and also makes it a sensible match for rimfire and .22 LR work at similar distances.
Is the Burris Fullfield E1 200347 first or second focal plane?
Second (rear) focal plane. The reticle stays the same visual size as you change magnification, and its holdover points are calibrated at one set power.
What rings does the Burris Fullfield E1 200347 need?
It has a 1 in (25.4 mm) main tube, so it needs a pair of 1-inch rings. Rings are not included.
