The SureFire M640T Turbo Scout Light Pro Weapon Light, part number M640T-PRO, is a rifle-mounted LED weapon light that produces 650 lumens output and 66,000 candela peak beam intensity from the included 18650 rechargeable cell — a tightly focused turbo beam built for identification at distance.
The turbo head trades total output for beam intensity, concentrating 650 lumens into a 66,000 candela hotspot while keeping controlled spill for awareness. Activation is by tailcap and the light is remote-switch compatible. The Scout Light Pro mount fits MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny and M-LOK rails, and the aerospace aluminium body is Mil-Spec hard-anodised and rated IPX7.
How it compares
For a wide 1000-lumen flood on the same mount, see the M640U Scout Light Pro rifle light; for 100,000 candela and Dual Fuel running, the M640DFT Scout Light Pro Turbo rifle light. Browse all SureFire rifle weapon lights and Scout Light switches and tailcaps, or see our lumens vs candela chart.
Ideal for
- Lamping and night fox or vermin control, where 66,000 candela gives real identification distance
- Farm, kennels and yard work after dark from a rifle-mounted lamp
- Airsoft and training carbines on M-LOK or Picatinny handguards
- Low-light range practice and night shoots

Which rails does the SureFire M640T Turbo Scout Light Pro fit?
The SureFire M640T Turbo Scout Light Pro mounts to Picatinny and M-LOK rails using the included Scout Light Pro mount.
Which remote switch works with the M640T?
The SureFire M640T Turbo Scout Light Pro is remote-switch compatible. SureFire lists the DS00, DS07, DS-SR07, SR07, ST07 and UE-SR07 switches for the Scout Light M300, M600 and M640 families, so all six fit the M640T. The DS07 remote switch and DS-SR07 remote dual switch are the usual choices.
How far does the M640T throw?
The SureFire M640T Turbo Scout Light Pro produces 66,000 candela peak beam intensity. Candela measures how tightly the beam is focused and is what determines throw, while the 650 lumens figure is total output — the turbo head deliberately trades lumens for intensity to reach further.
Is the M640T rechargeable?
Yes — the SureFire M640T Turbo Scout Light Pro ships with a rechargeable 18650 lithium cell and a charging cable.
M640T or M640U — which should I choose?
Choose the SureFire M640T Turbo Scout Light Pro when you need distance, at 66,000 candela; choose the M640U Scout Light Pro when you want a brighter, wider 1000-lumen flood for close and mid-range work.
